People's Voice strong in Free Society Empty People's Voice strong in Free Society

History was made when the people of Free Society ( Well, those registered in the forum at least ) took to the polls and elected a new President. A confusing week would later follow. It is the observation of this nation that the power of the president & the manner in which the office is filled and what power said office holds is unclear. A president can - I guees, make an executive order, and the newly, popularly elected president did just that. The problem? well, can he do that? The other problem? Well, even if the president does have legal authority to do so theory, he did not have enough endorsements to become WA delegate and have control of Free Society, so, well...he jumped the gun. He made a contoversial order to make it madatory that nations within Free Society register in the forum. If not, they would be axed! This sparked unrest within the region as a philisophical debate raged in which from the mist of battle birthed a new political party - the NSA - the president not being able to become WA delegate due to lack of endorsements, and the AC ( the political party that President Fonz. is affiliated with ) became less popular. What's more? The President repealed his executive order! since then, he is on his way to becoming WA delegate, and the people of Free Society can chalk this episode up as a victory! It proves that Libertarian views are alive and well within Free Society, which is good, ya know? Given the name of our Region! it will forever serve as an issue that futer Free Societians can look back and say that, yes, the people are always going to hold the real power, the President is just the manager, and will always be held accountable for his/her actions. Authouritarianism should never hold its ugly head up high in this region. But thats just the opinion of this writer.

Nicely done, could have had more detail, quotes and a better format, but still, nicely done.

Of course Authouritarianism has no place in Free Society. But Exectutive Orders do not exirsice that. Incase you did not know, while I was still President, and before you came, Pasco, it was mandatory to register in the forum. I enventually repealed the law. Now, Pres. Fonz has repealed my repeal and then repealed his repeal of my repeal. It is his right as President to make Exectutive Orders.
