as minister of finance i would like to be the first use of the regional government funds would be the building of centers of power for the different ministries (like the american congress has capital building the president has the white house) we could do this in one of two ways found a capital city for the region. possible in the unclaimed region of midway or have each minster recommend styles and place for the center of there ministry

Re: gov buildings
I propose making the small island off of the coast of D our Regional Capital and headquarters, and making it a shared territory (or independent governing district, Like Washington DC).

Re: gov buildings
should we have one nearly universal style of building in the capital or should we have the different minister use their own styles to give the capital a more multicultural look but this would make the capital look like a bad tourist trap

Re: gov buildings
lol. That may not be such a horrible idea though, if people are drawn to governmental edifices, would it not follow that they would be more familiar with the laws and regulations of Licentia and Free Society, thus creating more of a feeling of solidarity among our countries?THeOutland wrote:should we have one nearly universal style of building in the capital or should we have the different minister use their own styles to give the capital a more multicultural look but this would make the capital look like a bad tourist trap
I think the line should be drawn at a souvenir shop though.

Re: gov buildings
If there is to be single building style, I think it should be a hybrid style drived from all the nations of Free Society. If there is to be multiple building styles from all the nations, it should be organized to some degree, instead of each building style in random places.

Re: gov buildings
I like what Aidsboat said. Or we could have a building for each position in the nation that holds that position
Re: gov buildings
lower lands idea was my idea first idea i think we should blend a few together. the pres vice pres and congress will have their headquarters on the capital island with one style combining different styles and the founders of each minister will apply to have their headquarters in their home land. if the founder no longer holds the post (i don't think this has happen) then the current minister will chose style and placement.

Re: gov buildings
What do you guys think of this:
One Avenue of Position Offices, where the Regional Standard Whatever (a style where they all look the same) Architecture style is used.
Then a few separate Avenues of what will essentially be like Embassies, with each nation represented, each with their native architecture, or if they have no native architecture, a style of their choosing.

Haightstock agrees with this.
