Are you going to Assign countries to Plots of land? Cause if so, dibbs on the right half of that bottom island that looks like a pair of lungs...I'll split it down the middle with someone, through the isthsmus Hati-Dominican Republic style.

Assuming the map is oriented north=up, the East side. You wanna split it?

Yeah. I'll post a political map tomorrow, with a compass rose on there.

Re: Free Society Cartogrpahy
Good job, but can I kindly suggest a couple of things?
when you're looking to the map, there is a lot of water and mostly 4-5 Islands with large distance in the middle. Maybe adding another one in the middle. This way, they will not be so far and will look more as a region.
Is there enough space for all actual nations and maybe more if it is a success? We can start with that and enlarge if it is the case.

Fixed. Rather than have nations randomly strewn across the map, why not all start on the center island(s), then work our way out through colonization, as well as integration of new members? That way we have a centralized Free Society Region, and then everything else.

Okay, considereing the new map, I call the central island, with the big lake in the middle. I'll take the South/East part and divide it with someone over the yellow Isthsmus.

Done. Feel free to apply, even if you're not a role-playing nation, every presence contributes. I'll update the political map with more applicants.

Yes it is. I didn't want to make a political map because no one had claimed yet, and I was ( and still am), welcoming criticism. On how to improve it.

Re: Free Society Cartogrpahy
Lets have a great big war within the region who ever has the most men at the end gets the most land. And the same down the line.............. Who believed me? Be honest!
Re: Free Society Cartogrpahy
Sounds like something really cool to do much further down the line....to shake things up, change regional boundries.
We could do it Risk style....BTW everyone working on their military figures?

Re: Free Society Cartogrpahy
The new island complete the picture. I think too it is better to get all of us on the same.
I think it will be more easy if you designed contries and suggest them to nations. We will just have to select one. If not, I think it will be a puzzle for you. (north-east, no, after that...) and contries needs to be similar sizes. Just put a letter on each of them. This way we will just have to say the area we want.
Not easy, but try to get an access to the sea for all of them. If not, some nations will be under mercy of nations who have this access maybe?
We ned a name for the Island. Central Island sounds too "head quarter" for nations who can be established on other ones.
If I'm looking to the good one, there are 2 lakes into this Island?
It can be Two-Lakes Island or Blue Lakes Island
It's only sugesstions. Hope it will help to set up the region.

Re: Free Society Cartogrpahy
I will take E.
Batiska is proud to have as neighbor Aidsboat and Gramstandard.
Maybe adding our names to replace letters for area already assigned?
Also, the lake between us is at 85% into Batiska's juridiction. Peoples of the Republic want to preserve this lake for recreative purpose. Batiska will not tolerate polution, alteration and destruction of this system for capitalism requirements.

Agreed. The Lake shall be preserved as an ecological preserve and an untouched recreational area.

Certainly sounds in order to me. Batiska, if you look towards your border with F, you actually have two additional, small lakes. I just noticed that. Perhaps indicative of a wet climate?
